Terms of Service

1. What WorthIt is

WorthIt lets creators receive voluntary payments for work they have already made freely available. Supporters choose whether to pay and how much. Payments are not purchases: the supporter receives no goods, services, licences or benefits in return, and payments are generally non-refundable once completed.

2. Payments and fees

• Payments are processed by Stripe. Funds are paid into the creator’s own Stripe account; WorthIt does not hold creator funds.
• WorthIt collects a platform fee of 3%of each successful payment. Stripe’s payment-processing fees apply separately. As a limited-time launch offer, the platform fee is waived (0%) for payments completed up to and including 30 September 2026; the standard 3% fee applies thereafter.
• The creator, as the merchant for each payment, is responsible for refunds, disputes and any applicable taxes on amounts received.

3. Creator responsibilities

• You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract to create a creator account.
• Provide accurate profile and content information.
• Only request payment for work you created or have rights to.
• Comply with the Acceptable Use Policy.
• Complete Stripe onboarding truthfully; Stripe’s connected-account agreement also applies to you.
• Handle any refund requests from your supporters fairly.

4. Refunds

Because payments are voluntary and made after value has been received, they are generally final. If a supporter believes a payment was made in error or without authorisation, they should contact the creator or WorthIt support; refunds are issued at the creator’s discretion or where required by law or by Stripe’s rules.

5. Suspension and termination

WorthIt may suspend or disable creator pages that violate these terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law, and may withhold platform services while investigating suspected fraud or abuse.

6. Liability

WorthIt is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, WorthIt’s liability is limited to the platform fees it collected from you in the preceding twelve months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law of your country of residence grants you mandatory consumer protections.
