# WorthIt > WorthIt is a pay-what-it-was-worth payment button for independent creators. A creator adds one simple button or link beside an article, tool, newsletter, video or any useful work; people who got value from it pay whatever they think it was worth, after the fact, voluntarily. Payments go directly to the creator through Stripe (the creator is the merchant of record), and WorthIt charges a 0% platform fee per payment (launch offer until 30 September 2026; standard fee 3%) with no subscription.
